These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of HomeFront, a security monitoring application for macOS and iOS developed by HomeFront Security ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using HomeFront, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use HomeFront on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. Description of Service
HomeFront is an on-device security monitoring tool. It provides security posture assessment, DNS threat filtering, breach monitoring, file integrity monitoring, and privacy auditing. All processing occurs locally on your device.
HomeFront is a security monitoring tool, not a guarantee of security. It helps you understand and improve your device's security posture. It does not replace antivirus software, endpoint protection, or sound security practices. No software can guarantee complete protection against all threats.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
HomeFront offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and you will be notified in advance.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble HomeFront, except as permitted by applicable law.
- Use HomeFront for any unlawful purpose.
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell HomeFront.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels.
5. Intellectual Property
HomeFront and all related trademarks, logos, and content are the property of HomeFront Security. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
HomeFront is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that HomeFront will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Security threats evolve constantly. Blocklists and breach databases may not include every known threat. HomeFront reduces risk but cannot eliminate it.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HomeFront Security shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of HomeFront, regardless of the theory of liability.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of HomeFront shall not exceed the amount you paid for HomeFront in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeFront Security from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of HomeFront or violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your license to use HomeFront at any time for any reason. You may terminate by uninstalling HomeFront from your devices. Upon termination, all rights granted under these Terms cease immediately.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arkansas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Arkansas.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of HomeFront after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
